BI Analyst (Forecasting)

The role:

This role sits within the Finance team and interacts cross functionally with Operations, HR, Academics and Finance to coordinate and oversee the collaborative development of student forecasts for assigned University partners ensuring both integrity & useability of the information.

Day to day the BI Analyst (Forecasting) work with the data and finance teams to regularly update predictions of sales volumes and staffing requirements driving continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy. You will have an eye for process improvement, and have an interest in improving the overall forecasting process to positively impact staff recruitment and allocations.

The successful candidate must have: 

  • Tertiary qualification in statistics, analytics, mathematics, computer science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3-5+ years experience in similar role providing various forecasting reports
  • Experience with process improvement and systems implementation desirable
  • Proven understanding of forecast methodologies
  • Proven ability to perform in-depth data analysis and present insights in a clear manner
  • High proficiency in SQL essential. Python, R or SAS essential
  • Exposure to BI tools, Tableau preferred
  • Ability to access data stored in databases and interrogate it efficiently
  • Strong numeracy, writing and presentation skills
  • The highest level of data analysis and problem-solving skills and be versed in best practice demand forecasting methods
