Human Resources Consultant

The role:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources the Human Resources Consultant is responsible for providing advice and assistance to managers and employees across a broad range of employee relations, engagement, performance management, training and development and remuneration areas.

This position is responsible for providing business partnering on a broad range of Human Resources policies and practices.  The role will work predominantly with line management groups to build and implement HR solutions in line with business needs, such as learning and development, employee relations, remuneration and well being, as well as providing counsel to managers around employee issues and engagement. The role will ensure compliance at all times with the labour law and will assist in ensuring the business is informed of HR policies and programs as needed.

To be considered:

Individuals who have worked within a best employer and who have experience delivering innovative HR best practice initiatives will be considered. Preferred industry experience includes but not limited to technology, online start-up/s, professional services and high growth online sectors.

More about you:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR related field
  • 5+ years previous experience in a HR consulting or advisory role
  • Proven ability to provide in-depth HR related advice across a broad range of people matters
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practice
  • Ability to be flexible and work within a fast-paced organisation is a must
  • Proven involvement in achieving best employer standard/awards would be advantageous
  • Experience coaching & guiding leaders across workplace/employee relations matters
  • Previous experience with difference workforce groups would be advantageous
  • A strong knowledge of employment legislation & interpretation of awards
  • Highly accomplished relationship management and influencing skills
