Senior Learning Designer

The role

The Senior Learning Designer will identify pedagogically sound, effective, innovative and fit-for-purpose unit design that aligns learning and assessment activities.

This role will work with academic and technical employees to create online learning programs that comply with agreed quality standards, whilst also ensuring that the online design optimises the student learning experience.

If you have previously led a team, have an education background, experience in online learning, instructional design and are passionate about innovative learning techniques we would welcome your application.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, expert advice and support in online learning design and pedagogy across a variety of programs and courses
  • Work collaboratively with partner academic staff and others to create learning solutions that enhance student engagement.
  • Design, develop and implement effective and innovative online learning techniques and strategies to create a best practice online student experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to create resources and learning activities that support learning outcomes, within agreed timeframes.

The must have’s

  • Postgraduate qualification essential (Education an advantage)
  • Experience in creating, evaluating and delivering online learning.
  • Experience with technologies and online learning management systems, such as Canvas.
  • SCRUM and project management certification or extensive experience in managing a number of key projects simultaneously including demonstrated ability to consistently manage work to tight deadlines
