Business Development Consultant

This role is a vital part of a top-performing sales team supporting new business and deepening relationships with existing partners. The purpose of the role is to apply the skills of research and analysis, proposal writing, developing presentations, and creating marketing collateral to win business.

Major challenges

  • Winning business in a dynamic and highly competitive market across a wide variety of partners
  • Delivering the UK team’s B2B marketing and sales strategy to ensure that we maximise our opportunities across the breadth of our solutions and markets
  • Ensuring that we consistently represent OES at its best through the creation of high-quality tailored proposals and presentations which articulate complex and detailed information in clear and persuasive ways
  • Working to tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks and priorities

Key responsibilities

  • Project managing the development of proposals, tender responses and presentations
  • Creating visually appealing, compelling and accurate collateral supporting business development
  • Conducting research and analysis to inform the sales team of opportunities and to ensure that we respond well to partners’ needs and contexts
  • Maintaining accurate and timely information in Salesforce
  • Building strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing responses to inbound queries from current and prospective partners
  • Supporting the development of marketing materials and events
  • Working to tight deadlines managing multiple tasks and priorities
