This is a 12 month contract role.

The Student Insights Researcher role primary purpose of is to bring a deeper understanding of students by completing research and evaluation of various aspects of the student experience.


  • Based on an understanding of business and project requirements, promote the appropriate use of research to stakeholders across the business
  • Determine and provide expert guidance on appropriate research approaches to use to gain a greater understanding of the impact of new and improved initiatives  on groups of students
  • Oversee the execution of research projects making use of internal and external resources and delivering research within allocated budget
  • Communicate findings and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders on the insights from research to provide direction for decisions
  • Promote the value of research with teams across the business to bring the student perspective to decision making

About you: 

  • Experience in social or market research and project evaluation which focuses around customer or ideally student behaviour
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, eg psychology, social science, marketing or other research related discipline, or professional experience
  • Synthesise insights from the literature
  • Ability to conduct and analyse both quantitative and qualitative research. For example, recruiting, surveys, interviews, usability testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong academic writing and presentation skills
  • Manage research tasks across several projects and deliver high quality results within timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
