The Student Recruitment Advisor role is within our Sales and Admissions Team, based in Edinburgh, which is responsible for helping our prospective students progress their enquiry through to enrolment, using phone, email & live chat, and our bespoke online Admissions Portal.

This is a full time, permanent position. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 19:00, with advisors working eight hour days on a rota basis. The role requires flexibility and some Saturday working at peak intake periods. (Currently working remotely but we will be operating a hybrid model with 2-3 days in the office, in the future).

 

The role is focused on postgraduate business and finance programmes, recruiting on behalf of a leading UK university partner. All leads are warm, and through a consultative sales approach you will assist applicants once they have taken the first step to contact us. Applicants are predominantly from a professional audience, often senior leaders and executives who are prepared to conduct extensive research into the most appropriate programme and provider. As part of the sales process, you will provide detailed and at times complex, study & career related information about our online courses, to guide students through the important decision-making process.

You will be expected to work autonomously and be accountable for your targets, think for yourself, push the boundaries and above all bring a high level of energy and passion to the team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed both long and short-term sales targets as set by the business.
  • Respond to all prospective student enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide and deliver clear and accurate course information to prospective students through outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of partner and course/programme information, highlighting course USPs and the benefits of online study in relation to the applicant’s particular needs.
  • Follow up leads to meet lead to application, application to enrolment conversion targets.
  • Support and manage applicants during the online admissions process.
  • Accurately assess applicant’s eligibility and escalate complex applications to a subject specialist /or university admissions team as appropriate.
  • Accurately complete all supporting documentation and records to reflect the offer and level of entry for applications.
  • Manage allocated leads and applicants in Salesforce CRM.
  • Prepare sales reports where required to accurately reflect sales performance and status of lead and opportunity pipeline.
  • Escalate process efficiency opportunities as required.
