OES has sophisticated learning analytics capability. Our data source aggregates data from the Student Management System, Virtual Learning Environment, Customer Relationship Management platform, and the Student Portal, ensuring that every student interaction is captured. This data is then used to inform and improve multiple aspects of the student experience.
OES is aware that strong student engagement is a critical metric for student retention. Comprehensive student data is used to build propensity models which identify students whose behaviours are giving early signals that they may be at risk of disengagement or failure. OES has a dedicated team of student coaches who are then alerted and intervene with one or more of our tested and evaluated intervention strategies.
Learner engagement dashboards are also provided to teaching staff, providing a real-time snapshot of the activity and progress of each student in their class, and enabling them to provide targeted support.
Regular feedback is collected from students and staff to identify further ways in which the student experience can be improved. This includes online student surveys, face-to-face student user testing and interviews with teaching staff.
