Once you have identified a role at OES that matches your skills & experience and is of interest to you, please ensure you tailor your resume to highlight the most relevant information to the role that you’re interested in.

Amongst other things we will be looking for relevant working experience, time spent in roles, how well you’ve laid out your resume etc.

We also encourage you to consider submitting a cover letter outlining why you’re interested in us, the role and why you feel your working experience suits the role.

Our Talent Acquisition Team review all applications. If you have been shortlisted, you will be contacted regarding next steps, generally within 1 week of applying. This will either be via an email invitation to complete a one-way video interview, or by phone to discuss the role in more detail.

From here the TA team will let you know if your application has been progressed through to the interview stage.

We are a circle back advertiser meaning that every application will receive an outcome – either via email or over the phone.

Generally, our interview process consists of 2 structured interviews with Hiring Managers and other members of the team, as well as a casual Peer Interview with potential colleagues and/or stakeholders.

It’s important that you prepare, so you can clearly demonstrate why you’re the best candidate. Use the job ad and the OES website to get a really good understanding of the role and the business. Remember, you’re interviewing us too so use the interview to ask any questions you have of us.

If you have been successful through the interview process, you will be invited to complete Psychometric and ability assessments so we can get an understanding of Your preferred working style, your natural abilities, and a sense of what is important to you at work.

Generally, at this time we will  will request the details of 2 professional referees. In most cases we will require your two most recent direct managers. We may require a Criminal History Check for certain roles. Your TA consultant will talk you through this if relevant to your role.

Once you have completed each step of our talent acquisition process, the Hiring Team will do a final assessment of your suitability for the role, and if you have been successful, your TA Consultant will contact you to offer you the role and send you a contract.

If you have been unsuccessful at any stage throughout the talent acquisition process, your TA Consultant will provide you with feedback.
