“As the Deputy Chief Learning Officer for the Veterans Health Administration’s Institute for Learning, Education, and Development (ILEAD), Dr. Kathy Hanson is responsible for workforce development and continuing education for over 377,000 healthcare professionals and staff that serve 8.92 million Veterans. Reporting to the Chief Learning Officer, she collaborates with VA and VHA leaders to deliver learner-centered, performance-based, and cost-effective education programs. Dr. Hanson’s previous leadership roles include positions at Noodle Partners, the National Park Service, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Office of Personnel Management. Her diverse background spans K-12 to graduate-level teaching, instructional leadership, and program management. “Holly Franklin is the Principal Product Designer on Northeastern University’s EDGE team. She holds a BA from Longwood University and an MS in Education with a focus on Digital Age Learning and Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University. At Northeastern, she has worked closely with clients such as PwC and the Mayo Clinic to create tailored online learning experiences for professionals. Holly has also led efforts to innovate course design at EDGE, focusing on adaptable delivery models and personalized learning experiences. She has been increasingly involved in integrating AI into course development and has led several AI initiatives for the university. With experience in various educational settings, including K-12 education and the U.S. Army, she specializes in professional development and adult learning, as well as creating impactful learning experiences for unique environments.“
