At OES we believe in the importance of taking time out of our busy schedules to connect and focus on how we can look after ourselves and one another’s mental wellbeing. That’s why we like to extend World Mental Health Day over a whole week. For us, celebrating mental health awareness week is a testament to our commitment to fostering a supportive and healthy workplace, and this year it was choc-a-block.
On Monday we focused on the importance of Environment and feeling well in our space through workspace adjustments, meditation and breathwork.
Tuesday brought our attention to Belonging at Work as Fiona Austin-Weber of Diversity Council Australia led a conversation with us around unconscious bias.
Wednesday’s spotlight was on Physical Wellness. We went pedal to the metal with our friends at Bike n’ Blend, making pedal-powered smoothies, complete with a side of great tunes and healthy snacks.
On Thursday we embraced our Creativity (and a beverage!) at our Paint and Sip event, highlighting the value of hobbies and carving out time for fun.
To round out the week, we honed in on the power of Social Connection through taking time to express gratitude for people and things that we have through the use of a gratitude board.
Watching everyone take this time out to come together is a reminder that OES is more than just a workplace. Thank you all for being an integral part of #OESlife.
