OES has signed the Victorian Digital Skills Compact, joining government, industry and education providers to ensure more Victorians have the skills and opportunities they need for the future.
Victoria is expected to need an additional 87,700 digital workers over the next decade, reflecting growing demand for digital skills across the economy.
Signing the Compact reflects OES’s commitment to expanding access to flexible online education that prepares learners for the workforce of the future.
Many of OES’s university partners offer programs in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics and information technology, helping learners develop skills that are increasingly in demand across industries.
OES CEO Jon Davey said, “Education plays a critical role in preparing people for a changing workforce. By signing the Victorian Digital Skills Compact, we’re reinforcing our commitment to expanding access to learning and helping more people participate in a digital economy.”
